The Official Mumford & Sons Tribute and the UK’s premier folk-pop party band Chasing Mumford are the most authentic tribute to Mumford & Sons on the planet. An awesome fully live band of multi-instrumentalists with spine-tingling live vocal harmonies, fronted by the charismatic Chase Williams. With attention to musical detail and the perfect image to match, this ultimate party band effortlessly capture the energy of the incredibly popular folk-pop festival sound like no other.
Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar joined forces in 2011. Combining Russell’s powerful vocals and driving guitar style with Algar’s All-Ireland winning fiddle playing, the duo have become one of the most sought after acts on the British folk scene. In 2013 the pair won the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award before going on to win the Horizon Award for best breakthrough act from the same source in 2014. In 2015, they were nominated in the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award Best Duo category.
A beautiful mix of laid-back chill, with a unique edge of passion and spirit, Siren and Strings are an acoustic covers band performing an eclectic selection of songs. With Neill Davison's superb guitar playing & vocal harmonies mixed with Abigail Nelson's distinctive emotion-loaded vocals these talents combine to create something different, fresh and engaging. With the addition of the amazing Jose Williamson on percussion (who knew that so much rhythm can be created from a wooden box and a few shakers!) and the uber cool James Squire on Saxaphone and Clarinet their takes on well-known tracks reveal that simplicity can be stunning - and prove that a really good song will shine even when stripped back to basics. A real mix of styles and eras of music.
From “The Beautiful South”, through the “Civil Wars”, past “Caro Emerald”, nodding to “Adele”, having a laugh with “Imelda May”, spreading the word of “Dusty Springfield”, taking a walk with “Nancy Sinatra”, getting out and about with “Tina Turner”, contemplating life with “Paloma Faith”, spending some quiet moments with the “Foo Fighters” & “Sting” to having a bit of a yee-har with the “Pistol Annies” this little musical road trip gives all this and many more! This quartet are a real treat for the ears!
The Moonbeams are centred around the duo of Jon Avison on guitar and vocals and Jen Haines on viola, cello and piano, joined at various times and whenever possible by Collective members, Ben Avison on accordion, mandolin, guitar and banjo, and Sam Lawrence on acoustic bass, pipes, banjo and guitar. With others joining the fun when available.
